dont most things in life have a parallel......:)

    this one was good.
  • Prerona · 4 years ago
also, they can merge or one can become a substitute for the other in some cases ...
  • Ash · 4 years ago
    Nice analogy !
  • pallavi · 4 years ago
Though I might think that these two aspects have very little similarity... hmm... but your thoughts are interesting.. funny you should compare these two aspects...
  • NoHairBrain · 4 years ago
    been there done that :D

i read in a book by kamila shamsi - not-quite-twins, evening though born a minute apart and from the same womb.

career. well some screw up and land somewhere else. but there are some who will debate on this issue vociferously. those my dear are the losers in life :)- those who incidentally have something called a 'jobs satisfaction'

a marriage is somewhat like that. the trick is always to keep the challenge alive, so that you are satisfied at the end of the day but its never quite enough.

its about commitment- either u have it or u dont. then comes enthusiasm- do u have it or not! With enthusiasm comes creativity!
  • Shikha · 4 years ago
wow..i have never heard of this comparison before..its always 'how career can affect your marriage'..(or vice versa)
  • phatichar · 4 years ago
Hey, why didn't I think about this before?! (Guess I was too busy 'living' it) ;)
  • Brood Mode · 4 years ago
nice! i like the parallels u've drawn
  • Arunima · 4 years ago
like your idea but don't agree to it.

you can change your job hazaar times. what will happen if you change your spouse that many times?
  • Anjali · 4 years ago
I guess it is because of the similarly central role they play in our lives that the two are often in conflict ... ??
  • the Monk · 4 years ago
hmmmm...shouldn't love and marriage be related and similarly career and money?not necessarily related, but, mathematically speaking, correlated...the existance of one can have an effect on the other, I mean...
  • manuscrypts · 4 years ago
deez: i have a feeling they do :)

    prerona: yup, they could...
  • manuscrypts · 4 years ago
    ash: :)

    pallavi: why funny??
  • manuscrypts · 4 years ago
    NHB: :)

parna: but wouldnt stasis and comfort be more important in a marriage??
  • manuscrypts · 4 years ago
blokes: hmm, would tend to agree :)

shikha: yup, thats the usual case ..
  • manuscrypts · 4 years ago
arunima: assuming hazaar was an exaggeration, nothing... lots of people have multiple one night stands.. some are happy, some arent..similar is the case with job hopping..

anjali: guess they are jostling for space....
  • manuscrypts · 4 years ago
monk: yup, interesting line of thought, right? if we could develop a mathematic model :)
